Travel Planning

I guess we are beginning to come to terms with the fact that our time here around Lake Toba is coming to an end – soon. While we’re busy enjoying the last few days of it,we are making travel plans for the short and medium term.

In the short term, it looks like we’re heading to a place called Ketambe, where rumor has it that we may be able to spot wild Orangutans. A bit of jungle trekking won’t hurt either. The only drawback with this plan is that we may have to spend a night in Medan, which is a safe but seriously grubby place.

In the medium term, we’re not yet quite sure. We will spend a couple of days in Kuala Lumpur, and then head down to Bali. Where we go from there is still shrouded in mystery. I am keen to see Papua. Jaime is interested in the Komodo Dragons. In between those two places there are about nine hundred other places I’d also like to visit.

Any ideas?
