Indonesia is a very beautiful place – at least the little I’ve seen of it so far. We’ve been posting pictures to give you an idea of just how pretty it is here, but the pictures aren’t the whole story. What you’re missing is the smell, which for obvious reasons we can’t help you with.
Indonesia is a developing country. Trash removal is done either by throwing it into the nearest undeveloped lot or burning it, as you see in the above photo. The resulting smell? Fire with a hint of sickly-sweet decay.
You take the good with the bad when you’re in paradise.
