The Reno Air Races

It is with a heavy heart that I write about an event that I really, desperately want to attend but happen to be on the other side of the planet. This week is the annual Reno Air Races, billed as the fastest race on the planet. Imagine Nascar, but in the air. It’s truly a spectacle (both in the air and on ground) and it really bums me out that I’m not there.

My super sweet Dad, Darryl Greenamyer, is flying in the races this year, after a two year hiatus. He’s no stranger to the Reno Air Races, though. He won his first race in 1965. In fact, he’s the only pilot left racing who flew that year.

Kick some Sport Class butt, Dad! And whatever you do, try to not embarrass the family :)
