Our travels have taken us to Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. The one thing these destinations have in common is the total absence of cold temperatures. Our wardrobes reflect this situation: we’ve got no shortage of tank tops, bathers, shorts and airy short-sleeved shirts.
We arrived in Ladakh just at the tail end of the season, wearing sandals and our only set of long sleeves. Today, we did a lot to remedy our lack of warm stuff. We bought full sets of Gore-Tex, snazzy woolen hats,mitts,gloves, fleeces and thick sweaters. All this for a paltry 200 USD. So much fun.
Oh and for those of you who haven’t seen me ina while, I must report that I’ve grown a lot. I am now an XXL. I have the laundry tag to prove it.
