Between general strikes, rolling power outs and a pretty unstable telecom infrastructure, we find ourselves without internet a lot of the time. If it isn’t a power out affecting our router, it is a power out affecting the ADSL station a few blocks away. The troubles only continue down the line. For example, all internet in Nepal goes through Bihar in India – not exactly the world’s most gentrified territory. If that cuts out, well, we have rout through some seriously congested copper cables across Tibet and then through China’s not always ultra fast lines.
In short – updates, emails and phone calls can be a bit spotty right now. Bear with us!
