The other day, we decided that a bit of fresh air wouldn’t hurt. Looking at our options, we decided that a bit of semi-urban trekking would be the thing to do. Hence, we hopped into a taxi to the Nagarjun Forest Reserve, also known as the Queen’s forest. Today it’s no longer the queen’s forest, but the deposed king does indeed live in a nearby villa.
Of course, this being Nepal, our forest outing turned into a stair-master style uphill trek. It took us about two hours to reach the summit of a 2095m/6873ft knoll, where we were rewarded with some seriously good views of Kathmandu.
As the saying goes here: Nepali flat is a little bit up and a little bit down.
